Imagine my excitement when I attended the Newburyport Literary Festival and the wonderful bookstore there, Jabberwocky, already had copies of my new book, COMFORT! It looked beautiful, and I don't think a writer ever gets over the wonder of seeing her words in a real book!

My friend Mary sent me a beautiful and mind boggling knitting pattern which I have been sparring with these days. It is called Not A Celebrity Scarf (But it Should Be!). It's a series of triangles, so you keep increasing and decreasing the stitches. Just when i thought I had figured it out, I got distracted, didn't turn the yarn, and m scarf is now L shaped! Time to unknit!
