Merry Christmas to everyone who happens to look here today! For those of us who grapple with loss in our lives, Christmas makes those holes feel even more enormous. I wish you all strength and peace and loving memories from Christmases past when you felt whole. I wish you a day in which you can look around you and feel blessed and grateful, and dare I say, even joyful. I did that this morning. I sat around the Christmas tree with my husband and children, friends and family, and even through the tears that inevitably came when I missed Grace and imagined the years she sat with me beside the tree, even then, I did feel love and happiness.
