In half an hour I'm going to give a lecture on writing Flash Fiction. Then I teach a workshop and that will end my week here at Chautauqua. Being here is always incredible--such a combination of interesting people, stimulating lectures, and cultural events ranging from last night's symphony performance of Mozart to tonight's Gretchen Wilson show. Old friends. New friends. Annabelle making memories here...a wonderful week...
Back home in time for a reading at Porter Square Books in Boston on Tuesday and a couple of days in NYC.
So long Adirondack chairs on the balcony, and yellow school bus every morning for Annabelle, and my workshop of twelve incredible writers, and the likes of writers Lauren Belfer and Wendy Mnookin, and tiny refrigerator, and dwindling case of Oregon and Washington wine, and bats at dusk, and Amish buggies, and Annabelle and Ella giggling, and so much more...
